A sandy beach with a freshwater lagoon behind
A small beach of fine sand at the mouth of the torrent des Fangar (a seasonal stream), next to the Cala Murada resort. Behind the sand the stream forms a freshwater lagoon with ducks, so the cove has two shores: one on the sea and one on fresh water.

How to get there
- By car and on foot
- There are spaces along the street that leads to the beach, some reserved for people with reduced mobility. Guides mention an unattended car park with 50 to 100 spaces. In summer it fills up and you'll need to find a space in the streets of the resort. From Manacor or Felanitx, follow the signs for Cala Murada and, once in the resort, the signs for the beach. Park on the street that leads to the sand and walk down a ramp with a boardwalk to the water's edge.

It's mostly used by locals and people staying in the resort. In July and August it fills up, because the beach is small.
Tips and what to bring
- Have a look at the lagoon. Behind the sand, the fresh water from the stream attracts ducks and other birds.
- Get there early in summer. The beach is small and fills up quickly.
- Bring or hire a parasol. There’s almost no shade on the sand.
- Mask and snorkel. The best bits are by the rocks at the sides.
- Combine it with Cala Domingos. It’s less than a kilometre to the north, in Cales de Mallorca.
The cove opens to the north-east, so the sun comes in during the morning. With llevant (the east wind) or gregal (the north-east wind) the swell rolls in; with a westerly it’s usually sheltered.
