A rocky inlet at the end of the Bóquer valley
An inlet of sea about 300 metres long between limestone walls, at the end of the Bóquer valley, with a beach of pebbles and gravel at the far end. The islet des Colomer rises opposite its mouth. There are no buildings or facilities, and you can only get there on foot or by sea.

What you’ll find
- Pebbles
- Pebbles and gravel, with rock along the sides, about 80 × 40 m of beach.
- Facilities
- None: no beach bar, no toilets, no lifeguard. Bring everything you need.
- No shade
- There are no trees at the cove or along much of the path.
- Snorkelling: excellent
- Very clear water and rocky seabed along the walls of the inlet.
- Good for kids
- The path is easy and almost flat, but there is no shade or facilities, and the beach is pebbly. Best with children who are good walkers.
- Dogs: no specific rule
- We have not found any specific rule. The path crosses an estate with livestock; if you bring a dog, keep it on a lead.
How to get there
- By car and on foot
- At the start of the path there is a free dirt parking area with room for just a few cars. In summer and on spring weekends it fills up early; if there is no space, park in Port de Pollença and walk there. The path starts at the dirt car park in the Bóquer development, in Port de Pollença, and runs for about 2.5 km along the valley. It passes the houses of the Bóquer estate, which is private: there are gates you must close behind you, and it is best not to stray from the path. It is a wide, fairly flat track, with a last stretch of earth and stone footpath down to the cove.
- By bus
- TIB buses run to Port de Pollença (line 301 from Palma). Next to the start of the path there is a stop called "Bóquer"; check the TIB website to see which lines stop there this year.
- By boat
- It is a good anchorage for small boats.

It is a very well-known walk and in season there are plenty of people on the path, but the inlet is long and people spread out over the rocks.
Tips and what to bring
- Set off early. There is almost no shade in the valley and at midday the heat is fierce, especially on the way back.
- Walking shoes and water shoes. The path is easy, but the beach is pebbly and the rocks are slippery.
- Water for the whole trip. There is no beach bar on the path or at the cove.
- Close the estate gates. The path crosses private land with livestock.
- Take your rubbish with you. There are no bins at the cove.
The cove faces northeast, towards the islet des Colomer, so the morning sun pours straight into the water. With a tramuntana (the north wind) or a gregal (northeast wind) the waves roll in; with a southerly or westerly wind it is usually calm.
