A rocky inlet you can only reach on foot
An inlet of about 300 metres, carved out by the torrent des Màrmols (a seasonal stream) between cliffs of around 20 metres, with a small beach at the far end. There are no houses and no road: you get there along the coastal path from Cap de ses Salines or by boat, and that's why there are almost always few people.

What you’ll find
- Sand
- Sand with some pebbles, and rock along the sides, about 40 × 35 m of beach.
- Facilities
- None: no beach bar, no toilets, no lifeguard. Bring everything you need.
- Little shade
- Only from the rock walls at certain times of day. The walk in has no shade either.
- Snorkelling: good
- Very clear water between rock walls. This coast is part of the Reserva Marina del Migjorn de Mallorca (marine reserve).
- Kids, with care
- It's about 10 km there and back over rock and in full sun, with no facilities or lifeguard.
- Dogs: no specific rule
- We haven't found a specific municipal rule for this cove. If you bring a dog, keep it on a lead.
How to get there
- By car and on foot
- There's no car park at the cove. If you set off from Cap de ses Salines, people leave their cars on the verge of the last stretch of the lighthouse road, which fills up in summer and at weekends. If you set off from the north, the municipal car park at the entrance to Cala Llombards is the nearest option. From the Cap de ses Salines lighthouse, a coastal path of about 5 km heads east. It's almost flat but over rock and loose stones, with no shade and some poorly marked stretches. It takes around an hour and a half each way. You can also get there along the coast from Cala s'Almunia, about 6 km to the south. The Rafal des Porcs track, which is shorter, is private and can only be used with the landowner's permission.
- By bus
- We haven't found any bus line that reaches Cap de ses Salines. In summer there's a stop at Cala Llombards, from where the coastal walk is quite a lot longer.
- By boat
- Many visitors arrive by boat or kayak. There's an anchorage in front of the cove, and in summer there are usually boats at anchor.

The walk weeds out a lot of people: there are usually few on the sand. In July and August what you notice most are the boats anchored in the inlet.
Tips and what to bring
- Leave the lighthouse early. There isn’t a single tree along the path, and at midday in summer it’s very tough going.
- Closed shoes. Almost the whole way is rock and loose stones, with some poorly marked stretches.
- Plenty of water. There are no fountains or beach bars anywhere along the way, and it’s about 10 km there and back.
- Don’t take the private shortcut. The Rafal des Porcs track needs the landowner’s permission; the coast is the open route.
- Take your rubbish home. The cove is in a protected area and stays unspoilt because nothing has been built.
The cove faces south-east, so the sun pours in during the morning. With the llevant (the east wind) or the migjorn (the south wind), waves reach the inlet; with the tramuntana (the north wind) or the ponent (the west wind) it’s usually calm.
